Ah... Amazônia. Nunca vi uma noite estrelada tão linda como a de lá. E as árvores então?

Escrevi esse poema, porque sempre escutei sobre a exuberância do bioma Amazônia, mas também sempre escutei notícias sobre o desmatamento de suas florestas, e ficava triste. Resolvi expressar todo meu sentimento por esse lugar escrevendo um poema e ilustrando. E o livro surgiu. Depois tive a oportunidade de ir até lá, duas vezes. E pessoalmente, ela é mais maravilhosa ainda!

Esse livro foi publicado na língua portuguesa pela Editora Cortez e depois na língua espanhola pela Editora Panamericana, da Colômbia. 

Ah... Amazônia. I have never seen such a starry night like I saw there. How about the trees? I wrote that poem because I had always heard about the lushness of the Amazônia biome, but also some news about the illegal logging and I used to feel quite sad. I decided to show my feelings about that place by writing a poem and illustrating it. The book arose from these feelings. Sometime later, I had the opportunity of visiting the biome twice. When I saw the nature with my own eyes, I realized that it was more beautiful than I had once thought.

This book was published in Portuguese by the publisher Cortez and after in Spanish by the publisher Panamericana from Colombia.
