As I said, I always loved playing with scissors and glue as a child. Collage is still my favorite artistic technique to this day.
This artwork is a collage too. I used acrylic paint to paint on canvas, oil pastel for the outline, and then I cut out each pot. Next, I made the composition, and finally, I made the collage on fabric. To be used as decoration, this artwork has to be glued onto an MDF board or thicker paper and then placed in the frame, along with a glass or acrylic on the front. Here in the United States, we can find ready-made frames for this type of artwork. Just fit the fabric into the frame, even with this MDF on the back. Then, just put it on the wall and enjoy the art. Here's a tip for those who like to collect art: mixing different styles on the same wall is very interesting: a classic figurative painting, a simple pencil drawing, a fancy collage... one next to the other. It gives a lovely and cheerful effect.
Como contei, sempre gostei muito de brincar com tesoura e cola quando criança. Colagem até hoje é a minha técnica artística preferida.
Esse trabalho da foto é uma colagem também. Usei tinta acrílica para pintar sobre tela, pastel oleoso para o contorno, e depois recortei cada pote. Fui fazendo a composição, e por final fiz a colagem sobre tecido. Para ser usado como decoração, esse trabalho artístico tem que ser colado sobre uma placa de MDF, ou um papel mais espesso, e depois colocado na moldura, juntamente com um vidro ou acrílico na frente. Aqui nos Estados Unidos podemos encontrar molduras prontinhas para esse tipo de trabalho artístico. É só encaixar o tecido na moldura, que já vem até com esse MDF atrás. É só colocar na parede e curtir a arte. Para quem gosta de colecionar arte, aí vai uma dica: misturar estilos diferentes na mesma parede fica bem interessante: uma pintura figurativa bem clássica, um desenho a lápis bem simples, uma colagem despojada... um ao lado do outro. Dá um efeito bem bacana e alegre.
