Mesmo que seja para somente mostrar um livro, deixar manusear, “ler” para a criança poderia ser uma atividade bem precoce: desde os primeiros meses de idade.
Conforme o bebê vai crescendo, o interesse pelo objeto livro também vai aumentando, pois a sua coordenação motora vai se refinando, e a curiosidade muitas vezes faz com que ele queira colocar o livro na boca. Nessa fase, livros de pano, fofos, ou os durinhos, são bem apropriados.
Mas, na hora da leitura, a mãe ou o pai pode ler uma história para o bebê, segurando o livro. Assim, o hábito já vai sendo construído desde bem cedo.
Ler as histórias da Bíblia para o seu bebê pode já ir mostrando o seu amor pela Palavra de Deus, e com isso a criança também vai construindo esse interesse e consequentemente o amor pela Bíblia e consequentemente por Deus.
