Dia 12 de outubro será o último dia de exposição das ilustrações originais do livro "A Incrível Bíblia" no MAB - Museu de Arqueologia Bíblica" do Unasp, em Engenheiro Coelho, estado de São Paulo, Brasil.
Sem sei o que dizer dessa exposição. Sonhei com ela por muitos anos, quando o MAB ainda estava sendo construído, na fundação. Fui acompanhando as paredes do Museu subindo, o telhado sendo colocado... e o meu sonho só aumentava. Queria muito fazer uma exposição das ilustrações que eu estava fazendo na época. A propósito: trabalhei neste projeto (texto e ilustrações) do livro "A Incrível Bíblia" por quase 14 anos.
Mas Deus tinha um propósito para esse livro, e a exposição no MAB aconteceu. Muitas pessoas foram visitar, inclusive muitas crianças de escolas diversas, e de uma ONG chamada "Hope for Kids". Teve até uma oficina onde ensinamos as crianças a fazerem um Jesus com colher de pau.
Só tenho a agradecer primeiramente a Deus, que realizou esse sonho, à Adriana, museóloga do MAB que abriu as portas para que isso acontecesse, à Fabi Bertotti, ao Sergio, ao Lucas, ao pastor Rodrigo Silva, à Isadora, Ana Letícia, e tantas outras pessoas que ajudaram nesse processo, e que foram bênção para mim. E à minha família, que sempre me apoia e me ama.
Quem venham outras exposições como essa, e que muitas pessoas possam conhecer as histórias bíblicas e serem abençoadas por elas!
October 12th will be the last day of the exhibition of the original illustrations of the book "The Amazing Bible" at the MAB - "Museum of Biblical Archaeology" of Unasp, in Engenheiro Coelho, state of São Paulo, Brazil. I don't know what to say about this exhibition. I dreamed about it for many years when the MAB was still being built in the foundation. I watched the walls of the Museum go up and the roof being put on... and my dream grew. I wanted to do an exhibition of the illustrations I was doing then. By the way, I worked on this project (text and illustrations) of the book "The Amazing Bible" for almost 14 years. But God had a purpose for this book, and the exhibition at the MAB happened. Many people came to visit, including many children from different schools and from an NGO called "Hope for Kids." There was a workshop where we taught children how to make a "Jesus" with a wooden spoon.
I can only thank God first, who made this dream come true, and Adriana, the museologist at the MAB, who opened the doors for me to see it. Also, this happened because of help and support from Fabi Bertotti, Sergio, Lucas, Pastor Rodrigo Silva, Isadora, Ana Letícia, and many others who helped in this process and were a blessing to me. And to my family, who always support me and love me. May other exhibitions like this come, and may many people be able to learn about biblical stories and be blessed by them!
